Board of Directors

The Tompkins Charitable Gift Fund's Board of Directors is a volunteer board made up of civic leaders, each with a distinguished career in both charitable service and business leadership. Kelly Cobb, President Kelly Cobb, CPA, is Financial Controls Analyst with Corning Incorporated. She is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University where she received her BBA in Marketing and MBA in Accounting. She is a member of the New York State Society of CPAs and Tompkins Connect. James A. Brown, Vice President James Brown is CEO for United Way of Tompkins County, serving in that capacity for the past 17 years. In addition to the Tompkins Charitable Gift Fund, he serves locally as a member and past President of the Rotary Club of Ithaca, as President of the Legacy Foundation, and as a director of Cayuga Health Systems, Tompkins County Area Development, and Kendal at Ithaca. Christopher Turtell Christopher M. Turtell, CPA is a Partner in the accounting and audit department at Herbein + Company, Inc. based in Reading, PA. Chris specializes in local governments and school districts, including compliance with Uniform Grant Guidance requirements. He is responsible for leading and overseeing government audit engagements for the firm, which is one of the firm's largest niches. In this role Chris is looked at as an important advisor, responsible for coordinating the financial audits as well as building and maintaining relationships with client management and governance. In addition to the Tompkins Charitable Gift Fund, Chris serves as a board member for the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Tower Health at Home. Brianne Rehac Brianne Rehac is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 10 years of industry experience. Brianne has pioneered integrated care initiatives to promote the overall health and wellness of consumers and to drive positive community impact. Brianne has worked for Fortune 500 companies, community-based organizations, and current owns her own small business. She became an agent of change at St. Bonaventure University, where she received a liberal arts undergraduate education and completed a graduate program in Community Mental Health. Anahaita Kotval Anahaita N. Kotval is Chief Executive Officer of Lifting Up Westchester, Inc. a social services agency dedicated to serving those experiencing hunger and homelessness in Westchester County as they strive to become self-sufficient. She has her B.Sc. in Applied Math and Economics from Brown University and a JD from Harvard Law School. Anahaita is the Board President for Non-Profit Westchester and on the Board of the Pro Bono Partnership.
