Dear Community Members:
While the downturn in
financial markets influenced people’s ability to give in
many ways, the
Tompkins Charitable Gift Fund
Board of Directors and donors remained active and
engaged givers. Many new donations were new donors to
the
Gift Fund.
Again this year the Directors have accepted and
reviewed grant applications from non-profits and we are
proud to provide much needed assistance. Our
donor-advisers and Directors have provided over $3.8
million in grants since our inception in 2001.
We have embarked on another
year and the
Tompkins Charitable Gift Fund Board
and I expect to further increase the number of grants
and level of financial support we provide to charities
nationwide. We are proud to help non-profits achieve
their goals by providing support for their programs and
services with an easy, flexible and effective giving
vehicle.
